Pick a pumpkin, draw a face, and watch the candle flicker through. Carve one on your phone, then print a stencil for the real thing.

Halloween is my favorite maker holiday. From pumpkin carving, costume making, to decorating there is so much making that happens, even if people don’t think of it as making.

My kids have huge debates on what to carve every year. They each get one pumpkin and so it’s a big decision. This year I decided to build a digital pumpkin carving tool so they could explore as many designs as they wanted! We’ve been having lots of fun with it.

You can pick different shaped pumpkins from the pumpkin patch and then use different carving tools, stencils, and even draw on it. My favorite feature is that if you come up with a design that you like you can click the stencil button and it makes a print out that you can use to transfer your design to a real pumpkin.

It’s free for all to use.
