String Music App

The plucking of a real guitar string causes vibrations that you can see and hear. Pluck is an interactive app that can be found on the web (for free!) and on the Apple App Store (for $1.99 at time of writing). Kids can have tons of fun making music with this app. There are different scales you can try, and you can even select pre-programmed songs to watch them play.

What's even cooler is that Murat, the creator of this app, developed a mathematical algorithm to simulate the vibrations of a string in order to generate the visuals and the sounds that you hear. The sounds will change depending on how you pluck each string. Try plucking a string in the middle and then near one side!
